WHAT IS THE BIG DIG?
The Big Dig is once-in-a-lifetime chance for kids and teens to drive, ride, and play on more than a dozen heavy equipment construction machines! While on the equipment riders are under the supervision of trained operators from leading local construction companies. Huge hauling trucks, bulldozers, skid steers, excavators, dump trucks, boom trucks, concrete mixer trucks, and other machinery will be on site. It is highly recommended to purchase tickets and sign waivers in advance online to make check-in at the event seamless. General admission is only $10. We also are offering a VIP package for $20 that includes early access at 9:30 am, Speed Lane entrance to the event from 10am – 1pm, 1 Youth size BIG DIG T-shirt, a Swag Bag, and TWO chances to win a Kids Ride-on Construction Toy worth $300+! Attendees can purchase additional BIG DIG merchandise on-site while supplies last.
The Big Dig is part of the Northern Kentucky Regional Construction Partnership that received a Kentucky Work Ready Skills Initiative funding award. Workforce Development is the focus of this event to not only entertain children and their loved ones but to introduce those in attendance to the career opportunities available in the construction trades.
